ABOUT US

In 2000, the husband and wife team of Mark and Deborah Matthews pooled their collective skills to open their own construction company, creating Pacificmark Construction. Mark’s hands-on building skills as a craftsman and years in the construction field blended nicely with Deborah’s healthcare and management experience. They began their business focusing on residential remodels and some light commercial projects, building a reputation for personal service, quality of performance and attention to detail. Once they concentrated their work to the commercial market exclusively, they soon were winning public contracts performing challenging interior renovations on city and county buildings as well as the Port of Portland and Tri-Met projects.

In construction, the proof is in the performance. From the beginning, Pacificmark Construction has built strong relationships with leading regional general contractors, working as a partner or subcontractor on projects including the Randall Children’s Hospital, the Oak Lodge Wastewater Treatment Plant and the Sellwood Bridge. Pacificmark continues to work as a prime general contractor on federal, medical, public works, and higher-education projects for customers such as the National Park Service, Department of Energy, US Forest Service, Providence Health Services, Multnomah County and Portland Community College.

Today, Pacificmark Construction occupies a unique niche, a minority owned firm with the resources and capabilities to deliver challenging, large scale projects. Their success comprises of a diverse workforce, leadership and exceptional attention to every element of their work.
